Design project

Surfshop

As part of the lecture "Mediengestaltung" (media design), we were to develop the design of a web-shop. The shown surfshop is an online shop where you can buy surf equipment. Which sets us apart from comparable websites is, that we wanted to address a new target group. We focused on well-heeled people over 30.

My role

We developed the idea, the colors, the logo, and the name together. After this, I was solely responsible for the realization. I created the screens in the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Landing Page

The homepage of the website shows a large, emotional black-and-white picture of one of the three main themes of the brand. The navigation is clean and straightforward, created in the house colors of the brand — dark background with white letters. As with the products, accents are set with the color red. The user can switch between the main topics by clicking on the arrows. To get to the shop page of the main topics, the user has the possibility to either click on the respective tab in the navigation bar, or he can get to the shop by clicking on the box in the Slideshow.

Surfing women

By clicking on, e.g. Wetsuits, the user can differentiate between women and men. The desired products are now displayed in a filtered form. When hovering over one of the products, the name and model of the product is shown. With one click the user comes to the shop page of the product. There he can get more precise production information like the price.

Product Details

This screen shows a detailed view of the desired product. Here the user can see a lot of significant details about the product and add it to his shopping cart. The simple and minimalist design puts the focus on the product.

Mobile view

The mobile view of the website also relies on a simple and minimalist design. It follows the same color scheme as the web version.
